Predicts market Kalshi sues Nevada and New Jersey Gaming Commissions
After receiving a cease and desist order prohibiting it from offering sports-related contracts in Nevada and New Jersey, the prediction market Kalshi has sued the gambling regulatory authorities of Nevada and New Jersey. It claims that as an exchange regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, it is exclusively regulated by the federal government, and the Commodity Exchange Act takes precedence over state laws.
