Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht to Make First Public Appearance at Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas
Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht said Thursday that he plans to make his first public appearance and speech at a Bitcoin conference in Las Vegas, Gold Finance reports. Ross Ulbricht was previously sentenced to life in prison without parole for creating and running Silk Road. "Silk Road was a darknet marketplace specialising in the sale of drugs and other illegal products and services. The platform used Bitcoin for transactions and contributed to the popularity of cryptocurrencies. In January, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order granting an unconditional pardon to Ross Ulbricht.
