On April 16, asset management firm Bitwise announced the listing of four crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), expanding its presence in the European market.

These products, which were originally issued in Germany, are now available to qualified professional investors in the United Kingdom.

“I am very pleased to see the debut listings of Bitwise products on the London Stock Exchange, one of Europe’s most esteemed trading venues,” said Bradley Duke, Managing Director and Head of Bitwise Europe, expressing his enthusiasm.

“Investing in crypto is rapidly becoming mainstream, and institutional investors increasingly allocate digital assets to their portfolios,” he added.

The four ETPs listed on the LSE include the Bitwise Core Bitcoin ETP (BTC1), the Bitwise Physical Bitcoin ETP (BTCE), the Bitwise Physical Ethereum ETP (ZETH), and the Bitwise Ethereum Staking ETP (ET32).

The Core Bitcoin ETP is designed for strategic investors seeking cost-effective exposure to Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC).

The Physical Bitcoin ETP is known for its liquidity and is commonly used by traders and short- to mid-term investors.

On the Ethereum side, the ZETH product offers cold-storage-backed exposure to Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH).

The ET32 product provides staking rewards and benchmarking features to help investors assess performance.

Following its acquisition of ETC Group in 2024, Bitwise has accelerated product development and expanded distribution across major European markets.

Bitwise’s ETPs are structured similarly to exchange-traded commodities and are backed by physical crypto assets held in institutional-grade cold storage.

An independent trustee safeguards these assets to reduce issuer risk.

Bitwise products trade on regulated exchanges and can be included in standard investment accounts, eliminating the need for investors to hold a crypto wallet.

With the LSE listings, Bitwise aims to provide secure and transparent crypto investment options for professional investors in the UK.
