Warning Issued by Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority: Strict Prohibition on False Claims of Participation in Real Estate Tokenization Pilot
On April 23, the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued a notice emphasizing that no entity, except those expressly approved by VARA and the Dubai Land Department (DLD), may claim participation in the "DLD Real Estate Tokenization Project" pilot launched on March 19. VARA pointed out that unauthorized participants are suspected of engaging in illegal virtual asset activities or violating relevant marketing regulations and will face enforcement actions including fines and market bans. VARA advises users to verify platform credentials through official websites to avoid falling into high-risk unauthorized project traps.
