TRON Nile Testnet Launches TRX Reduction Proposal, Simultaneously Reduces Block and Voting Rewards

According to official news, the TRON Nile testnet passed Proposal No. 19794 at 11:40 AM Singapore time on May 8, 2025. According to this proposal, the block reward for TRX will be reduced from the original 16 TRX to 11 TRX, and the voting reward will decrease from 160 TRX to 128 TRX. This reduction aims to accelerate the deflationary process of TRX, further optimize the economic model, and ensure the long-term sustainable development of the TRON network.

The official statement emphasizes that this adjustment is limited to the Nile testnet, and implementation on the mainnet still requires community consensus. Currently, the proposal for TRX reduction on the mainnet is open for discussion on GitHub, and community members are encouraged to participate and jointly promote the governance decision-making process.
