U.S. agriculture has been hit by U.S. tariff policies
recently, American media published an article stating that the American agricultural economy is being impacted by the tariff policies of the Trump administration, especially in the agricultural trade and processing industries. The Los Angeles Times report specifically pointed out that China has significantly reduced imports of beef and soybeans from the United States, and has turned to importing from countries in South America, Europe, and other regions. In addition, several American tractor manufacturers have also stated that due to geopolitical uncertainties and trade frictions affecting the confidence of American farmers, sales in the first quarter have declined. The tariff policy has also clearly hindered the import of American pesticides and fertilizers. Some fertilizer companies have stated that costs have increased due to tariffs, forcing them to raise product prices, ultimately to be borne by American consumers.
