Telegram launches its first content creator competition, declaring "war" on WhatsApp
Telegram founder and CEO Durov announced that the platform has launched its first content creator competition, encouraging users to create viral videos revealing how Telegram has long been ahead of the "cheap imitator" WhatsApp. He accused WhatsApp of launching a smear campaign and stated that they will no longer "repay evil with good." The competition prize is $50,000, with a deadline of May 26 at 23:59 (Dubai time). Participants need to create an English short video within 180 seconds, showcasing the facts of Telegram's superiority over WhatsApp in various features. Evaluation criteria include clarity, visual impact, viral potential, and meme value. The results will be announced in June 2025.
