Cetus Protocol Proposes White Hat Bounty for Fund Return
According to the official announcement, the team has identified the hacker's Ethereum wallet address and proposed a timely white hat bounty plan, offering 2,324 ETH (approximately $6 million) as a reward, on the condition that the remaining stolen funds are returned. If the hacker accepts the terms, Cetus will not pursue further legal action. Currently, Cetus has implemented several countermeasures, including locking contracts to prevent further fund loss, collaborating with the Sui team and third parties for fund tracking, fixing the root cause of the vulnerability, and hiring a professional anti-cybercrime organization to assist in negotiations. The team stated that they will continue to prioritize the recovery of affected funds, and a complete incident report will be shared subsequently.
