Kyodo News: Japan to Spend 900 Billion Yen to Counter U.S. Tariff Impact
According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing Kyodo News, the Japanese government plans to use 900 billion yen (approximately 6.3 billion USD) of national funds to implement an emergency relief plan to mitigate the impact of U.S. tariffs. Kyodo News reported that to fund a package that includes reducing utility costs and providing financial assistance to small businesses, the government plans to use budget reserves (to be decided as early as Tuesday) and the existing budget.
