US Cryptocurrency Legislation Enters Critical Stage as Bitcoin Conference Approaches
According to ChainCatcher, as reported by Crypto In America, the Chairman of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, French Hill, announced that a hearing on crypto market structure will be held on June 4, with a markup session planned for June 10, aiming to complete legislation before the August 4 deadline set by President Trump.
Meanwhile, the GENIUS Stablecoin Act is facing opposition from Democrats and some Republican senators in the Senate, undergoing a new round of amendments. The SEC's crypto task force has held 104 industry meetings, including discussions with Ripple Labs, demonstrating a markedly different open attitude compared to former Chairman Gary Gensler.
Although Congress is in recess this week, the Bitcoin Annual Conference will be held in Las Vegas, with prominent figures such as Vice President J.D. Vance and White House Crypto and AI Czar David Sacks in attendance. Crypto in America will provide live coverage.
