1.US Appeals Court Allows Trump Tariffs to Remain in Effect Temporarily 
On Thursday, a US federal appeals court temporarily paused a lower court ruling that invalidated several Trump-era tariffs on international trade partners. The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit stated that the decision by the US Court of International Trade is stayed pending further notice, with a hearing set for June 9. The lower court had ruled that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not grant the president unlimited tariff powers.
2.Trump Administration Explores Plan B for Tariffs: 15% Within 150 Days
According to the Wall Street Journal, following a ruling deeming the previous tariff strategy illegal, Trump’s team is considering alternative legal mechanisms under the  Trade Act of 1974. This includes an unused provision allowing for up to 15% tariffs over 150 days on broad economic sectors, offering time to develop tailored tariffs for individual trade partners. These new measures are viewed as more legally defensible.
3.SEC Clarifies Three Types of Staking Are Not Securities Offerings
The  US SEC released a policy statement clarifying that the following staking models do not constitute securities offerings:
Self-staking: Node operators staking their own assets
Non-custodial third-party staking: Validators acting on behalf of users without custody
Custodial staking with segregation: Fully segregated client assets not subject to rehypothecation
The SEC emphasized that staking rewards are  compensation for validation, not investment returns, and therefore do not pass the Howey Test.

Fed Chair  Jerome Powell met with President Trump at the White House to discuss topics such as economic growth, employment, and inflation. Powell reiterated that monetary policy decisions will remain data-driven, independent, and non-political.
