EU Commissioner: US Court's Tariff Ruling Adds More Uncertainty
European Commission Trade Commissioner Dombrovskis told CNBC on Friday that the recent U.S. court ruling on the legality of the Trump administration's reciprocal tariffs adds another layer of uncertainty to an already complex trade environment.
He stated: "The current negotiation environment is already full of variables, and the situation is changing rapidly." Dombrovskis reiterated that the EU is committed to agreeing on a negotiation agreement with the U.S., "because the relationship between the EU and the U.S. is good. The trade relationship between the EU and the U.S. is the largest in the world, so there are many economic stakes." He also described the tariff situation as "urgent," as it has negative economic impacts on both the EU and the U.S.
