Nomura: The Dollar May Weaken Further Due to the Decline of American Exceptionalism and Other Factors
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Nomura Securities research analysts stated in a research report that the dollar may weaken further as American exceptionalism is fading, expected to continue until the second half of next year. Analysts noted that other factors include concerns about the U.S. fiscal and current account, asset reallocation and foreign exchange hedging, as well as uncertainties surrounding Trump's tariff and non-tariff policies. Analysts said, "Asian trade agreements may involve the appreciation of undervalued currencies, potential repatriation of foreign investment, and foreign exchange hedging, which together support our more resolute view on shorting the dollar against the Korean won." They added that the dollar could fall to 1300 against the Korean won in the coming months. (Jin10)
