Musk criticizes Trump administration again, claims 25% of government revenue is used to pay interest on debt
Musk once again criticized the excessive government spending in the United States on X, stating that interest payments have already consumed 25% of all government revenue. If large-scale deficit spending continues, then fiscal revenue will only be enough to pay the interest, leaving nothing else! No social security, no healthcare, no defense, nothing at all.
Just last Friday (May 30), after leaving the "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE) of the Trump administration, Musk and Trump, once "allies," seem to have quickly moved towards open confrontation. First, Trump revoked the nomination of Musk's close ally Jared Isaacman as NASA director. Subsequently, Musk directly blasted the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" promoted by Trump on the X platform, calling it "disgusting." This morning, Musk stated: "The current massive, absurd, politically motivated congressional spending bill is utterly disgusting. Those who voted in favor are shameful: you know you did wrong. This will significantly increase the already huge budget deficit to $2.5 trillion and burden American citizens with unbearable debt. Congress is bankrupting America."
