Indonesian Cryptocurrency Investors Surpass 14.16 Million, Transaction Volume Increases by 9.7% Month-on-Month
On June 5th, according to the latest data from the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK), as of April 2025, the number of cryptocurrency investors in Indonesia has reached 14.16 million, an increase of 450,000 compared to March. The total transaction volume in April reached 35.61 trillion Indonesian Rupiah, a month-on-month increase of 9.7%. Hasan Fawzi, head of the OJK regulatory department, stated that this indicates consumer confidence and market conditions remain good. Currently, Indonesia has registered 1,444 types of crypto assets, with industry participants including 1 exchange, 1 clearing institution, 1 custodian, and 19 physical traders.
