Bitcoin Below $105K as Altcoins Accumulate Sharp Losses
- Bitcoin Falls to $103K After Bullish Rejection
- Altcoins like AVAX, UNI, and XMR suffer major drops
- Cryptocurrency market loses $30 billion in value
Thursday, June 5, 2025 – The price of Bitcoin today is quoted at US$ 104.849 dollars, equivalent to R$ 591.149,25 and € 91.787,06.
Bitcoin has been on a downward trend again in the last 24 hours, with the price being rejected once again as it attempted to surpass the $106.000 mark. After reaching a recent high of almost $112.000 on the so-called “Pizza Day”, the cryptocurrency has been correcting continuously, reaching a low of $103.100 this Saturday — its lowest value in 12 days.
Since then, BTC has been trying to recover ground, but without success in its attempts to consolidate a firmer appreciation. As a result, the asset remains quoted below US$ 105.000. Bitcoin's market capitalization has fallen to approximately US$ 2,08 trillion, while its dominance over other cryptocurrencies has risen to 61%, showing that altcoins are suffering even greater losses.
Among the biggest market declines are tokens such as Avalanche (AVAX), which fell by more than 5% and is approaching the $20 mark. Uniswap (UNI) also fell by the same percentage range. Monero (XMR) had an even worse performance, with a devaluation of more than 8%.
Other cryptocurrencies with significant losses include HYPE, DOGE, and LINK. Tokens such as ADA, SUI, and XRP also closed the day lower, with losses of up to 2%.
This combined movement has brought down the total capitalization of the cryptocurrency market, which has lost more than US$30 billion in the daily total and is now valued below US$3,41 trillion. The widespread retraction reflects a moment of instability, where even the most consolidated assets are having difficulty sustaining bullish levels in the face of recent selling pressures.
