According to a report by Jinse Finance, the U.S. Department of Justice on Monday requested the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals to extend the stay of a tariff nullification ruling previously made by a lower court on May 28. The government stated that this decision undermines the President's ability to execute foreign policy. The Federal Circuit Court can now decide at any time whether to suspend the order during the appeal process, which may last for several months. The U.S. government also stated that if the appeals court lifts the current stay, it will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
