Commerzbank: US CPI Data to Confirm Fed's Wait-and-See Stance
According to a report by Jinshi Data, Commerzbank researcher Rainer Guntermann stated in a report that the U.S. inflation data released on Wednesday should confirm the Federal Reserve's wait-and-see attitude. Guntermann said, "These data will reinforce the Fed's wait-and-see stance before next week's policy decision, as the impact of the current tariff increases remains limited." According to data from LSEG, the currency market has fully priced in the Federal Reserve's decision to keep interest rates unchanged on June 18. They also expect the probability of a rate cut in September to be over 50%.
