Nasdaq opens up 0.3 percent, Tesla rises over 2 percent
U.S. May CPI came in below expectations, with all three major U.S. stock indexes opening higher. The Dow Jones rose 0.08%, the Nasdaq gained 0.33%, and the S&P 500 increased by 0.17%. Tesla climbed over 2% after Elon Musk expressed regret over some of his posts about Trump last week. Jensen Huang stated that quantum computing is reaching a critical inflection point, sending quantum computing-related stocks higher, with Quantum Computing surging more than 13%. The rare earth sector broadly declined, with rare earth materials producer MP Materials dropping over 6%.
