The US National Guard Says Detained Civilians Have Been Handed Over to Law Enforcement
On June 11 local time, Scott Sherman, commander of the U.S. National Guard, stated that during the protests in Los Angeles, the National Guard briefly detained civilians but quickly handed them over to law enforcement agencies. U.S. military officials said that the troops stationed in Los Angeles had been authorized to temporarily detain individuals before law enforcement personnel arrived. (CCTV)
