Crypto Lawyer: Ripple Has Up to a 70% Chance of Winning Against the US SEC
After nearly five years of litigation, Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission are seeking a settlement. However, they still need to persuade Judge Analisa Torres to revise her ruling, lift the injunction against Ripple, and reduce its $125 million fine to $50 million, arguing that "exceptional circumstances" justify this request. Cryptocurrency attorney John Deaton believes there is a 70% chance that Analisa Torres will rule in Ripple's favor, as the judge may prefer to issue a final judgment rather than initiate another round of litigation.
