IDF Chief of Staff: Israel Must Be Prepared for a Prolonged Conflict with Iran

According to a report by Jinse Finance, on the 20th local time, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Zamir delivered a video address stating that Israel must prepare for a "prolonged war against Iran" in order to "eliminate a threat of this magnitude." Zamir said that Iran has been formulating a clear plan for many years with the intention of destroying Israel. In recent months, this plan has reached a point of no return, and Iran's capabilities have reached a combat-ready level. Zamir noted that when the Israeli military launched its operation, Iran possessed about 2,500 surface-to-surface missiles and had extremely high production capacity. At this rate, Iran's missile stockpile could reach around 8,000 within two years. Iran's development of ballistic missiles, the expansion of its Middle Eastern proxy forces, and the advancement of its nuclear program "force us to take preemptive action."
