US Terror Threat Alert System Issues Warning After US Strikes Iran
According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing CCTV News, on June 22 local time, the U.S. Terrorism Threat Alert System issued a notice warning that the threat environment facing the United States has intensified following attacks on Iran. The notice did not mention any specific current threats, but warned that hackers might launch cyberattacks against U.S. networks. The notice also pointed out that the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could inspire violent extremists and hate crime perpetrators to attempt attacks. In addition, according to CNN, two military analysts stated that because Israel's attacks have weakened Iran's military capabilities, Iran may resort to asymmetric measures to retaliate against the United States.
