Survey: 82% of High-Net-Worth Investors Seek Crypto Investment Advice, but Over Half Distrust Their Financial Advisors
Odaily Planet Daily – According to the latest survey released by crypto asset management firm CoinShares, although more than 80% of high-net-worth and upper-middle-net-worth investors hope their financial advisors can provide advice related to crypto assets, many do not trust their advisors’ professional competence. The survey points out that investors generally believe advisors lack hands-on experience and struggle to accurately explain risks, which has become a barrier to trust.
CoinShares CEO Jean-Marie Mognetti stated that investors are no longer satisfied with passively receiving advice; instead, they want advisors to be strategic partners who understand crypto, can educate, and manage risks. Data shows that 89% of crypto holders plan to increase their crypto investments in 2025, and more than half monitor or trade daily, indicating that crypto assets have become a core allocation.
In addition, compliant products such as ETFs and trusts are gradually replacing exchanges as the preferred entry point for investors. CoinShares notes that as the market matures, whether advisors truly understand crypto assets will determine the depth of their client relationships.
