Trump Denies Discussing Ceasefire with Zelensky

According to a report by Jinse Finance, on June 25, U.S. President Trump met with Ukrainian President Zelensky during the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands. Zelensky stated on social media that the two sides discussed issues including a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. However, Trump denied to the media that he had discussed a ceasefire with Zelensky, saying he would hold another call with Russian President Putin to see if the war could be ended. At a press conference following his meeting with Zelensky, Trump also said that Ukraine is very eager to obtain the Patriot air defense missile system, and the U.S. side would consider whether it could provide it to Ukraine. However, he noted that it might be difficult for Ukraine to acquire the Patriot system, as the U.S. also needs it.
