Belgium Sentences Three Criminals for Kidnapping Crypto Investor’s Wife, Mastermind Still at Large

ChainCatcher reports, citing Cointelegraph, that the Brussels Criminal Court has sentenced three individuals involved in the kidnapping of cryptocurrency entrepreneur Stefan Winkel's wife to 12 years in prison each and ordered them to pay €1 million in compensation.
The three had demanded a ransom in cryptocurrency, while the mastermind remains at large. The victim, Winkel, is a well-known operator of a local crypto education platform and has been forced to relocate and change the format of his public activities following the incident.
