NATO Secretary General Rutte to Meet with U.S. President Trump in Washington Next Week
According to a report by Jinse Finance, NATO stated in a press release that Secretary General Rutte will visit Washington, D.C. on Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15. During his visit, he will meet with U.S. President Trump, Secretary of State Rubio, and Secretary of Defense Hagseth. The press release did not immediately specify the reason for Rutte's visit to the United States. However, Trump recently indicated that the U.S. is willing to provide weapons to Ukraine through NATO and will make a "major announcement" on Monday. So far, the Trump administration has only delivered weapons to Ukraine that were authorized by former President Biden, who was a staunch supporter of Kyiv. (Jin10)
