PIMCO: Investors Expected to Continue Withdrawing from US Assets
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) stated that the trend of investors withdrawing from U.S. assets and the steepening of the U.S. Treasury yield curve is expected to continue into the second half of this year. The report noted: “We anticipate that the investment playbook for the first half of 2025 will remain relevant in several respects.” This includes a continued depreciation of the U.S. dollar and a widening gap between short-term and long-term U.S. Treasury yields. “We believe global markets will continue to outperform the U.S.” PIMCO favors global short- and medium-term bonds. The firm also believes that central banks around the world may cut interest rates more than expected. (Jin10)
