A user lost 4.35 BTC after purchasing a counterfeit hardware wallet from an e-commerce platform
BlockBeats News, July 29 — SlowMist founder Cosine shared a recent case, stating, "Yet another person purchased a so-called imToken secure cold hardware wallet on JD.com, but it turned out to be a scammer’s pre-initialized cold wallet. This means the scammer already had the mnemonic phrase, and the user simply used this phrase as their own wallet, resulting in the theft of 4.35 BTC—worth several million RMB, now gone."
