Ika Mainnet Goes Live, Enabling Native Cross-Chain Asset Control on the Sui Blockchain
Blockchain Infrastructure Project Ika has announced the official launch of its mainnet, opening up a new era of cross-chain interoperability. This release also introduces the industry's first zero-trust Multi-Party Computation (MPC) network, allowing developers to directly control multi-chain assets through smart contracts on the Sui blockchain.
Unlike traditional cross-chain bridges, wrapped tokens, or custodial intermediaries, Ika's protocol does not rely on any third parties. It enables smart contracts on Sui to securely manage native assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and various mainstream L1 and L2 chains, significantly reducing the trust cost and technical risk in cross-chain operations.
At the core of Ika is a signature system called dWallet—a decentralized, programmable, and transferable system. Through this, users and the Ika network can collectively participate in transaction signing and execute preset security logic in smart contracts. This allows developers and institutions to deploy true cross-chain applications without sacrificing control.
Powering Ika is its proprietary cryptographic protocol 2PC-MPC, which was previously considered challenging to apply in an on-chain environment. However, Ika has successfully achieved sub-second latency, linear scalability, and true decentralization, with participation from hundreds of global nodes in validation. Every operation requires user participation, creating a zero-trust secure network.
The network's native token IKA serves as the foundation for infrastructure operation and incentive mechanisms. It is both a core tool for transaction fees and anti-spam behavior, as well as for incentivizing node operators and governance participation.
After the launch of the Ika mainnet, several projects on Sui have begun integration, showcasing the protocol's diversity and scalability:
· Native: Unleashing Bitcoin liquidity natively for DeFi lending
· Human Tech: Building cross-chain "wallet-as-a-protocol" infrastructure
· Rhei Finance: Providing zero-trust multi-chain financial services for institutions
· Aeon: Developing an AI-driven decentralized custody solution
· Nativerse: Issuing a stablecoin truly backed by Bitcoin, without wrapping
·Ekko: Embedding an AI Chatbot into MPC Architecture for Enhanced Secure Interaction
·Legacy Link: Providing On-Chain Compliance Tools for Crypto Heritage Management
·Full Sail: Developing an Efficient AMM Utilizing Ika for Cross-Chain Matching
“Today marks not only a technical milestone for Ika, but also a pivotal moment for the entire industry towards true native cross-chain interoperability,” said Omer Sadika, Co-founder of Ika. “Enabling trustless connectivity on Sui opens a new gateway for developers, institutions, and everyday users.”
Ika is now fully open. Developers, financial institutions, and ecosystem participants can deploy multi-chain applications on Sui, engage in network validation, or leverage the protocol's capabilities to build the next generation of crypto products.
About Ika
