Analyst: Powell Signals a Hawkish Stance
According to ChainCatcher, analyst Chris Anstey reported that Powell stated, "There are still many, many uncertainties that need to be resolved. Yes, we are indeed receiving more information continuously. But for now, we are not very close to the end of this process. Looking ahead, it feels like a lot is still going to happen." These remarks lean toward a hawkish stance.
Federal Reserve Chair Powell also said that it is not possible to make decisions six weeks from now based on the June projections (dot plot). In his personal view, the current policy is in a moderately restrictive range, though there are a range of different estimates on this matter. (Jin10)
