Trump impeachment sign removed; US museum denies White House pressure
the National Museum of American History management agency stated on Saturday (2nd) local time that a plaque introducing the two impeachment cases of US President Trump was recently removed from the museum, not due to pressure from the White House. According to Agence France-Presse, the Smithsonian Institution issued a statement on X social platform, stating that the plaque was originally temporary, "and did not meet the museum's standards in terms of appearance, location, timeline, and overall presentation." The statement said: "It was inconsistent with other parts of the exhibition and obscured the items in the display case. For these reasons, we removed the plaque." "We have not received any requests from the government or other government officials to remove the exhibition content."
