EU: 15% Tariff Cap Will Still Apply to Chip Exports to the US
According to Jinse Finance, the European Union has stated that even if President Trump announces new tariffs on semiconductors entering the United States, the tariff cap for chips exported from the EU to the US will remain at 15%. EU spokesperson Olof Gill said on Thursday that Washington has committed to applying the 15% tariff cap to semiconductor exports from the EU, regardless of the tariffs imposed on other exporters by the US.
