MetaMask launches social login feature, allowing users to create and recover wallets using Google or Apple accounts
Jinse Finance reported that MetaMask has announced the launch of a social login feature to simplify the process of creating and managing MetaMask wallets. Users can now create, back up, and restore their wallets using their Google or Apple accounts. No single entity, not even MetaMask, can access all the information required to retrieve a user's Secret Recovery Phrase (SRP), thus maintaining the self-custody nature of the wallet. Only the combination of the user's social credentials and their unique password can ultimately unlock the SRP locally on the device.
