Reportedly, the Firefly social protocol is a core project within the Mask Network ecosystem. It is a decentralized social aggregator designed to bridge Web2 and Web3 social networks, helping users explore onchain activities and social interactions through a unified interface. Developed by Mask Network, Firefly was launched around 2022 and will be spun off from MaskDAO as an independent project in February 2025 to further expand its team and innovation space.
