Institute of International Finance: Global debt to reach a record high of nearly $338 trillion in Q2 2025
Jinse Finance reported that, according to the International Institute of Finance's Global Debt Monitor, global debt reached a record high of nearly $338 trillions in the second quarter of 2025, while the global debt-to-GDP ratio slightly declined to below 324%. Emerging market debt increased by $3.4 trillions, with a debt-to-GDP ratio of 242.4%.
