Inside CampusAI’s goal to bridge the AI skills divide for ordinary employees — discover more at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025

In an effort to boost productivity and remain ahead in the market, many organizations are urging—or even mandating—their employees to become proficient with AI tools. Yet, this rapid adoption has highlighted a significant gap in training.

“There are not many options out there specifically designed for people without technical backgrounds,” said Aureliusz Gorski, founder and CEO of CampusAI, based in Warsaw, in an interview with TechCrunch.

CampusAI addresses this with a learning platform designed to make AI education approachable for anyone interested in integrating AI into their daily routines—whether that means improving sales, HR, legal processes, or even enhancing personal branding. The goal is to empower users to understand and collaborate with AI, rather than feel overwhelmed by it.

Ahead of the TechCrunch Disrupt conference, where it was named a Startup Battlefield Top 20 finalist, the Polish startup shared details about its main offering: a robust online learning ecosystem. This includes two primary features: courses that use avatar-driven instruction and a metaverse-based virtual campus where users can develop new skills, network, join community initiatives, and more. Imagine it as a version of Roblox, but tailored for adults.

CampusAI’s platform is available both to individual learners and to companies seeking to upskill their workforce in AI. The company claims to provide access to a wide range of AI models—including ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, and Flux—so users can explore and learn in one unified space without juggling multiple accounts or subscriptions. The curriculum is updated daily to keep pace with the latest technological advancements.

The flagship course for individuals, Me+AI, is offered at $250 per year and lets learners tailor their educational journey. For businesses, the Team+AI package is available at $25,000 annually.

“We support organizations in adopting a human-plus-AI culture, making the transition as seamless as possible,” Gorski explained.

During the initial three weeks of Team+AI, organizations undergo an AI readiness assessment, a management workshop, and a company-wide webinar. The following four weeks provide employees with customized learning paths aligned with business objectives.

“Whether you’re an HR specialist or work in finance, you’ll find a selection of courses suited to your field,” said Aleksandra Przegalińska, an AI researcher and CampusAI’s scientific adviser, in a conversation with TechCrunch. “CampusAI can craft tailored programs for different organizations, allowing for a personalized approach.”

CampusAI’s instructional methods are rooted in Przegalińska’s research on human-AI teamwork for better business outcomes and tackling complex challenges. The strategy emphasizes prompt engineering to develop AI experts who can help users enhance their skills.

Students at CampusAI gain access to a prompt book, which not only serves as a collection of prompts but also guides them in crafting more effective ones. Within the virtual campus, learners can visit the “AI Gym,” where they tackle specialized exercises and challenges designed by an AI agent that provides continuous feedback.

“Our aim is to create a space where you don’t just assign tasks to AI, but actively collaborate with it in various ways,” Przegalińska noted. “You can work alongside it, treat it as a teammate, a sparring partner, a critic, or even a coach. We see this technology as a tool to amplify your work, not as a replacement for it.”

CampusAI reports that its training programs deliver tangible returns, with employees becoming 40% more productive and 60% more satisfied in their roles. The company, founded just two years ago, has already achieved significant momentum.

“Our launch in Poland was a tremendous success,” Gorski recalled about the 2023 debut. “Within the first two weeks, over 600 customers purchased lifetime memberships, and since then, our user base has expanded to 35,000.”

CampusAI now counts 60 enterprise clients—including ING, T-Mobile, Lenovo, and Ikea—and is projected to surpass $2 million in annual recurring revenue by 2025. The company is currently seeking $20 million in Series A funding to support its goal of entering 40 markets by 2030. Currently, CampusAI offers its services in Polish, English, and Spanish, and has recently entered the U.K. and U.S. markets, prioritizing B2B sales before moving into direct-to-consumer offerings.

Graduates who wish to continue their journey can join Community+AI, a digital community where members connect, exchange expertise, and collaborate on initiatives—such as hAI Magazine, an online publication for sharing industry-specific knowledge.

Beyond its educational platform, Gorski highlighted that CampusAI’s digital twin technology has become a key differentiator. Rather than just operating its own virtual campus, CampusAI aims to develop and license digital replicas of real-world university campuses, corporate showrooms, government buildings, or company headquarters for exclusive organizational use. Pricing for the digital twins product starts at $100,000 per year.

CampusAI recently received €18 million from the European Commission to partner with 11 universities across 10 countries—including Greece, Spain, the U.K., France, Luxembourg, and Germany—to build digital twins and personalized learning spaces for students.

Gorski sees these university collaborations as springboards for local innovation centers—a strategy shaped by his seven years at the Cambridge Innovation Center, where he launched more than 10 programs to foster Warsaw’s startup scene. These virtual spaces are intended to spark local communities and digital districts, ultimately forming a social network designed for entrepreneurs.

He stressed the importance of nurturing robust local ecosystems to challenge the dominance of major tech companies.

“We think it’s essential for people to invest in building strong local networks, because otherwise, the next five years could see a decline in startups—especially given recent trends like OpenAI consolidating more solutions into a single ecosystem,” he said.
