Trump: Has Assigned U.S. Officials to Consult with Both Russia and Ukraine on a Peace Plan
Jinse Finance reported, citing CCTV News, that U.S. President Trump posted on "Truth Social" stating that over the past week, his team has made significant progress in ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict. With further engagement from both sides, the original 28-point peace plan drafted by the United States has been refined, and only a few differences remain. To finalize this peace plan, Trump said he has instructed envoy Steve Witkoff to travel to Moscow to meet and consult with Russian President Putin. At the same time, U.S. Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll will meet with the Ukrainian side to discuss the peace plan. At that time, Trump will receive briefings on all developments together with Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, Secretary of Defense Hegseth, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Trump stated that he looks forward to meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Putin as soon as possible, but only if an agreement to end the conflict has been finalized or has entered its final stage.
