The project was co-founded by Kim Ji-Hyun and Ahn Woong-sik in 2022.

The platform offers remote medical testing for COVID-19, lung cancer, and atopy, which can be purchased through a subscription-based model. The test kits are easy to use and yield quick results. Users can also list their decentralized personal health record (DPHR) on the BioPassport Marketplace for potential buyers to access with their permission. Additionally, the platform offers telehealth services, including remote health consultation and diagnosis from dedicated professionals. To incentivize users to use their services, BioPassport rewards users with BIOT token.
