A year ago, Cantor Fitzgerald purchased convertible bonds worth over $600 million, acquiring a 5% stake in Tether. If Tether achieves its fundraising target, Cantor's stake could be worth $25 billion.

However, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) warns that the rapid development of stablecoins may lead to increased leverage in the financial system, risk accumulation, and maturity mismatches.
