The U.S. bank disclosed a holding of nearly $53.1 million in a cryptocurrency ETF, with holdings in IBIT worth around $37 million.BlockBeats News, May 23. In its 2026 Q1 13F filing submitted to the U.S. SEC, Bank of America revealed that it currently holds nearly $53.1 million worth of cryptocurrency ETFs and crypto-related stock positions, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana-related ETFs.
Among them, Bank of America holds approximately 972,600 shares of the BNY Mellon Spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT, valued at around $37 million, as its largest single crypto ETF holding. Additionally, it also holds around $7.98 million of Bitwise BITB, $3.32 million of Grayscale Bitcoin Mini ETF, and $1.71 million of Fidelity FBTC. In terms of Ethereum, Bank of America holds around $1.06 million of the BNY Mellon ETHA ETF.
In addition to ETFs, the filing also shows that Bank of America holds stock in crypto-related public companies such as an exchange, Galaxy Digital, Robinhood, Circle, and SoFi. The market believes that traditional financial institutions continue to expand their indirect exposure to the digital asset market through ETFs and stocks, further strengthening the trend towards institutionalization.

BlackRock (IBIT) is its largest single crypto ETF holding, valued at approximately 37 million USD. Bank of America holds a total of 972,590 shares, a notable and continued inflow compared to the previous quarter's 719,008 shares; Bitwise (BITB) holdings are valued at around 7.98 million USD; Grayscale mini fund holdings stand at about 3.32 million USD; Fidelity (FBTC) holdings amount to roughly 1.71 million USD. In addition, it has small allocations in Grayscale GBTC, VanEck HODL, and Ark 21Shares (ARKB) products. Bank of America has also significantly reduced its Ethereum ETF holdings, now retaining only 67,492 shares of BlackRock Ethereum ETF (ETHA) with a total value of approximately 1.06 million USD; it has also cut its Solana ETF exposure. The XRP ETF maintains its original scale, with 13,000 shares of Volatility Shares XRP ETF still held. Meanwhile, Bank of America also holds around 3.96 million shares of Strategy (MSTR), valued at about 660 million USD.
