Tether's gold purchases last quarter accounted for nearly 2% of global gold demand and nearly 12% of central bank gold purchases. Its recent continued buying may have already influenced short-term market sentiment. The investors cited in the report believe that Tether's profits are expected to reach $15 billion this year, and the company may purchase another 100 tons of gold in 2025.
