Due to tight energy supply, Singapore government agencies are imposing restrictions on air conditioning use.Golden Ten Data reported on April 9 that due to Middle East conflicts leading to global energy supply tensions, Singapore government agencies will take measures to reduce electricity consumption in order to enhance energy resilience. In a statement released on Wednesday, the country’s National Environment Agency announced that immediate measures include setting air conditioning temperatures to 25 degrees Celsius or higher, controlling the operating hours of air conditioning, lighting, and elevators, as well as unplugging or shutting off non-essential devices when not in use. US media: Oil industry resists Trump's Iran peace planGolden Ten Data reported on April 9 that U.S. President Trump’s Iran peace plan is facing resistance from a key group: the oil industry. According to an industry consultant, oil company executives are contacting the White House, Secretary of State Rubio, and Vice President Vance to protest allowing Iran to collect passage fees through the Strait of Hormuz as a condition for peace talks. When asked whether executives had contacted the White House to protest the Strait of Hormuz toll measure, the consultant replied: “Of course! We never had to do this before—and I thought we had already won the war. Whenever you get the chance to reach out to government agencies, you ask, ‘What on earth are you thinking?’”
