Consumers sue Amazon for failing to refund Trump tariff fees
```htmlIn a proposed class action filed in a federal court in Seattle, consumers accuse the e-commerce giant of illegally passing on hundreds of millions of dollars in tariff costs by raising the prices of imported goods before a Supreme Court ruling. In February this year, the US Supreme Court ruled by a 6–3 vote that Trump's use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose blanket tariffs exceeded his authority. Following the ruling, thousands of companies have begun applying to the government for billions of dollars in refunds. However, Amazon has not taken action; the lawsuit claims this is "not due to a lack of legal grounds, but to curry favor with Trump by allowing the federal government to retain these funds." Amazon did not respond to requests for comment.```
