Jack Dorsey supports the bitcoin community's release of a documentary on the blocked WikiLeaks founder
Foresight News reports that Block co-founder Jack Dorsey stated at the "Bitcoin 2026" conference that he supports the documentary "The Six Billion Dollar Man" being distributed through Bitcoin community channels. Directed by Eugene Jarecki, the film focuses on the ordeal of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange under prosecution by the US government. It has won the Best Documentary Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the inaugural Golden Globe Award for Best Documentary, but has been rejected by mainstream streaming platforms. The Bitcoin community closely aligns with the principles of information freedom that Assange has championed. In 2011, when WikiLeaks was blocked by Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal, Bitcoin became the only unbannable payment channel to sustain it, which he considers one of the most important real-world use cases for Bitcoin in its early days. He described this distribution as an experiment to "bypass media gatekeepers" and said there would be global synchronized viewing parties organized through Bitcoin and the Nostr protocol. The documentary also includes an exclusive interview with Edward Snowden, who revealed details of how WikiLeaks assisted Snowden in escaping from Hong Kong to Moscow.

Production suspension imminent! Yichun lithium mine license renewal dispute rises again
Golden Ten Data reported on April 30 that as the widely anticipated production suspension node approaches, there have been new developments in the renewal of mineral rights for lithium mines in Yichun, Jiangxi. According to the official website of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources, after the assessment reports for the proceeds from the transfer of mining rights of four porcelain clay mines in Yichun were published on April 7, both the Dangang porcelain clay mine in Huaqiao Township, Yifeng County and the Tong'an porcelain mine in Tong'an Township, Yifeng County raised objections during the public notice period, while the assessment reports for the other two mines have already taken effect. Up to now, the assessment agency has issued replies twice, rejecting the objections from the two companies and upholding the original assessment results. The public notice period for the verification replies regarding these objections will remain open until May 12. Previously, the market generally expected that, after the assessment reports take effect, the four mines would complete the supplementary payment of proceeds for the transfer of mining rights and enter a temporary production suspension and renewal phase in May this year. Will the objections raised by the two mining enterprises change this? “It is highly unlikely that these objections will alter expectations for the May suspension, but they will definitely affect the timing of subsequent resumption of production,” said a local industry insider in Yichun. The renewal process requires waiting for a final ruling and the assessment reports to take effect before proceeding. If companies still do not accept the outcome and continue to appeal or file lawsuits, the suspension period may be further extended.
