When RollApp Sequencers suggest changes to the blockchain, the Hub initially assumes these updates are valid and doesn't question them immediately. However, if it later discovers that an update was incorrect or fraudulent, it can undo any changes made based on that update. Updating the current state of the blockchain in this way allows for lightweight devices like smartphones to connect to the blockchain easily and enables different blockchains to communicate with each other with ease.
Inter-Rollup Communication (IRC)
Inter-Rollup Communication (IRC) protocol allows RollApps to communicate with each other. Built on the foundation of Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) of Cosmos SDK, IRC provides secure message transfer between different RollApps on the Dymension network. By using the Settlement Layer as a common communication ground, IRC ensures efficient and reliable communication channels for RollApps.
