The motion describes bitcoin as "digital gold," suggesting it could serve as a supplement to gold and foreign exchange reserves, diversifying the country's assets and providing protection against inflation. The motion points out that establishing a strategic bitcoin reserve would "prepare Sweden for potential disruptive changes in the global financial infrastructure." In addition, the motion proposes that the government confirm it does not intend to change the definition of legal tender or introduce a central bank digital currency (CBDC).

Circle did not freeze the funds involved in the exchange hack, and the hacker has now bridged the funds to another chain.
On October 2, on-chain detective ZachXBT revealed that the attacker in a certain exchange hack incident swapped approximately 5 million DAI for about 5 million USDC, and kept these funds in USDC for 35 minutes. Since Circle did not conduct a compliance freeze, the funds were subsequently bridged to another chain. The hacker stole over 300 million US dollars from an exchange user by bribing customer service.
