XRP Volume Overtakes Bitcoin for the First Time in Years
According to data disclosed by Kaiko, Ripple's XRP trading volume has overtaken Bitcoin for the first time after years of inactivity, with Ripple XRP accounting for 21 percent of transactions, Bitcoin 20 percent, Ether 8 percent, and other cryptocurrencies 51 percent of the total, according to Kaiko's statistics for 25 centralized exchanges. Analysts believe this trend may be related to the recent US court ruling that XRP is not a security, which was followed by several exchanges announcing that they were taking XRP to their shelves, as well as some traditional financial institutions showing interest in adding XRP to their portfolios.
