ECB calls out participants in DLT payments trial, including non-banks
European Central Bank is gathering participants to conduct wholesale settlement experiments on DLT networks using central bank funds. The aim is to provide central bank funds to solve delivery and payment transactions involving DLT-based digital securities. Potential eligible participants include non-bank institutions. The organization will conduct two rounds of experiments, with the first wave requiring applications to be submitted before January 31, 2024, and the second wave requiring applications to be submitted before April 30, 2024. The deadline for submitting questions is January 12.
