U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren: Cryptocurrency companies should not cooperate with former government officials
Elizabeth Warren, a Democratic senator from Massachusetts, said that cryptocurrency companies should not collaborate with former government officials. Cryptocurrency companies and lobbying groups that hire and collaborate with former government officials are "hindering" efforts by both parties. Warren cited an article in Politico that claimed the crypto industry is "showcasing a not-so-secret weapon" composed of former defense, national security, and law enforcement officials. Warren said, "The abuse of the revolving door is shocking and shows that the cryptocurrency industry is spending millions of dollars to give itself a cloak of legitimacy."
